OUR HISTORY
Decades ago Piel Canela was born through the desire to create custom-made gifts.
The founder, María Landa, began this adventure by taking bookbinding classes because when creating her first leather album, she discovered the wonders of working with leather. Discovering the possibilities that skin has as a material to create, began this adventure.
1998
OUR START
His first sale was the production of gifts for managers, leather-lined boxes, and thus he created a gift that he knew, in addition to being practical, was something that would transcend.
Later, an artisan looked for her to sell her the workshop since they had no one to sell the products to. María spoke with him and learned that his grandfather taught him and his father this ancient craft and upon seeing the quality and passion they put into each product, she decided to support the continuation of this tradition. He began to work with the artisans on new designs and thus began this great story in the art of leather goods in Mexico.
